Intensive Outpatient Program

The EDRC provides a supportive environment with all the necessary components to help eating disorder clients cope with the underlying issues, current stressors, and biochemical factors that cause them to binge, purge, starve, and/or compulsively exercise.  We utilize a multi-disciplinary treatment approach in order to address all aspects related to an eating disorder: medical, nutritional, psychological, biochemical and behavioral.

Through comprehensive assessment and with feedback from clients and significant others, we develop an individualized treatment plan. This level of care is available for clients who are medically stable and demonstrate the desire to recover with assistance. They must be able to meet and maintain weight goals. Additionally, the individual must be able to request assistance if needed, be honest and accurate with difficulties, and structure time away from treatment.

Scheduling

Our Intensive Outpatient Program meets (Monday-Thursday 5:30 pm - 8:30 pm) - providing clients with the necessary skills needed to implement and maintain a healthy, balanced lifestyle.

Meals

We feel clients require the opportunity to begin taking responsibility for their nutritional needs from the beginning of treatment at the EDRC.At this level of care the client is given the opportunity to demonstrate how she/he is able to begin making healthy nutritional choices. Clients are requested to bring their own dinners according to their individualized meal plans set up with our dietitian.
